'Srimanthudu' First Day Box Office Collection: Mahesh Babu Starrer Beats 'Attarintiki Daredi' Opening Record
Mahesh Babu's "Srimanthudu" has received an earth-shattering response at the worldwide box office and the flick has beaten the first day collection record of Power Star Pawan Kalyan's "Attarintiki Daredi".
"Srimanthudu" has been creating positive buzz in the media ever since director Koratala Siva announced it. Its promos have worked in favour of the movie and garnered a lot attention. In addition, its makers had organised many promotional events for the flick. The huge hype helped the film register an average of 70% advance booking for its opening day in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and a few other parts of the globe.
The makers of "Srimanthudu" held benefit shows in some areas of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. These shows started at around 4.00 am on Friday and the movie registered 100% occupancy in all the centres. The audience at these early shows praised the movie. The strong word of mouth spread like wild fire on social media minutes after the first show concluded.
Released in around 2,500 cinema halls, "Srimanthudu" opened to a massive response with theatres witnessing unprecedented crowd in most centres. The movie ran to packed houses in almost all centres in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. The film witnessed an average of 90% footfalls in other parts of India and abroad in all morning, matinee, evening and night shows.
The distributors of "Srimanthudu" were forced to increase the screen count after seeing the huge demand. They are yet to reveal the details of the collection on its opening day. But, if we are to go by the early estimates, the film has collected approximately Rs 13+ crore in AP/T box office on the first day. It has beaten the record of "Attarintiki Daredi", which had raked in Rs 10.75 crore on its opening day
